Your responsibilities:

– Maintaining and improving Qemu and KVM – Responsibility for patches and fixes of the current generation of Qemu and KVM

o Preparations for transition into the new generation and supervision of the changeover

– Analysis of the system and identification of bottlenecks – Involvement in the development of central middleware components – Long term: integration of new features into KVM – Continuous improvement of our services and internal service management

processes

Your qualifications:

– Very good experience in C programming; experience in virtualisation and ability to write readable and easy maintainable source code

– Confident in using Linux system tools – Demonstrated knowledge of the use of hypervisors (ideally KVM) in a larger project

and excellent knowledge of the common tools such as Profiler, Debugger and GCC – Understanding of CPUs, RAM and their architecture – Interest in new technologies such as InfiniBand and hardware-based programming – Good knowledge in the field of network and storage – Bonus: Knowledge in Python and/or Bash – Fluent in English
