Technical Support Engineer (m/f)

for automation solutions

Your role as Technical Support Engineer

  • You are responsible for all technical questions on HIRO that are related to the setup, installation, configuration and day-to-day operation of HIRO and its components. This includes cluster installations, high availability, the syntax of knowledge items, the Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and official HIRO interfaces and connectors.
  • You will maintain test environments for reproducing errors, evaluating workarounds and testing solutions closely cooperating with the development department (3rd line support).
  • You acquire and maintain a broad understanding of the HIRO product from a technical and operational perspective as well as the design, development and implementation of HIRO specific Knowledge Items (KIs), involving the connection of the HIRO engine to the enterprise architecture.
  • You maintain the documentation about HIRO technical details, How-To's, Known Errors and Workarounds to enable 1st line support and customer self-service.

Your skills as Technical Support Engineer

  • You worked with Linux based (web) applications
    • Install, configure and test applications, make them accessible from the outside
    • Know how to deal with application server, reverse proxy, Firewall, Internet, DNS, Certificates, Database (SQL, Graph, cassandra)
    • Make applications high available by converting the installation to a failover cluster setup
    • Configure infrastructure (network, server, Firewall, virtual machines), cloud services e.g. AWS
  • Knowledge & experience with
    • ITIL processes and support tools
    • scripting / programming and you know what APIs are about and how to use them
    • Web Services (including SOAP, XML, XML Schema, JSON and REST concepts and frameworks)
  • You love to optimize and improve IT Systems

    Digging into technical issues and finding solutions for them interests you. Therefor you know how to document these issues for knowledge transfer.

  • Teamplayer with excellent communication skills You are ready for call duty and shift work. The latest technology excites you and you like to exchange knowledge with colleagues and customers.
